Spring Break Day 2: De Hoog Veluwe National Park

The second day of our Netherlands trip we had planned to spend in De Hoge Veluwe National Park, the largest actively managed conservation area in the Netherlands. The park covers 5,400 hectares of woodland, heathland, peat bogs and sand dunes. When you arrive at the park there are 1700 white bikes available for anyone who enters the park to use for free. Our goal was to enjoy as much of the park as possible, including the famous Kroller Muller Art Museum located in the heart of the park. It was a surprisingly sunny day, so perfect for the biking that we wanted to do. After having a picnic lunch, we spent the next three hours enjoying the beautiful artwork including many paintings by Van Gogh, Serrat, Picasso, and Monet. There was also a huge sculpture garden that we hiked through. Another beautiful day in the Netherlands!
