The flowers are called "százszorszép", meaing 100 times beautiful. The dictionary translates the word as daisy. We planted five plants in our balcony railing box.
Two weeks ago we hiked with Dénes and Petra and Joco to a beautiful spot in the Buda hills. Joco lives in Budakeszi, so we were able to begin our walking from his apartment. We really had no idea how beautiful the view was going to be. This is another example of how geocaching can bring you to such amazing places.
Come to a fence? Look for a ladder!
We found it hidden in the rock fall.
Last Saturday we were able to take public transportation to the town of Gödöllő. There was a geocache there also, but our primary reason for going was to tour the royal palace. We spent about an hour walking through the rooms that have been refurbished in the last twenty years. This was the summer home of Emperor Franz Joseph and Queen Elizabeth, whom the Hungarians affectionately call Sissi.
Unfortunately the grounds were off-limits because they are reconstructing the gardens. So we will have to go back again to see Liz and Frank Joe's back yard!
