We Have Arrived!

We are completing our first week in Budapest; slowly adjusting to a new life. Everything is different, which makes life very exciting and interesting. We have met many of our new teaching colleagues at school--two American teachers and the rest are Hungarian teachers in the English language department. We have also learned to find our way around the school (two separate buildings) . We got our transportation tickets the first day after our arrival, and we have criss-crossed Budapest many times already. Mass transportation IS the ticket, as they say. Last Sunday we worshipped at Calvary Chapel and really appreciated the singing and the sermon in both languages. After flipping through the TV channels, Cindy found some good British stations with international news, so we are not feeling too disconnected internationally. Please pray for new relationships with fellow teachers and with two neighbors that Cindy has met. We know that God will use us in these relationships.

Glad to hear that you guys have made it safely and are adjusting to life in another country and another culture. I've been there and know some of the challenges along with many of the joys. We will both be praying for you as you continue this journey together.

Hi Jack & Cindy,
I saw your picture and article in the Spark and wanted to check out your blog. It is such a blessing to serve God in these special ways, we pray for you as you are there and ask God's blessings as you meet new people there and share your faith with them. Know we will be checking in and praying for you! Gary and Dianne DeVries
