TeachOverseas Visit
Last Tuesday, after leaving the hospitality of Jodi and Ben in Visalia, Cindy and I traveled south to Pasadena (Arcadia), where we visited the TeachOverseas office. It is great being able to meet the people behind the scenes, those who labor to make it all happen. We also appreciate being able to put faces on the voices that we have heard many times on the phone. After meeting Carice, our regional director, we were introduced to everyone else present. It was impressive seeing a large marker board with every ministry location and the teachers associated with that country. (We saw two empty spaces under the Hungary heading, representing the need for two more teachers in Budapest. PRAY for the filling of those two spots, as this affects our placement in Budapest.) Then we were invited to join the staff for their daily prayer time. How good to know that we will be regularly lifted up in prayer by the TeachOverseas staff! Finally, we enjoyed lunching together with the president Ron Nichols and Carice. Much of our conversation centered on the work of TeachOverseas and plans for future growth. The entire experience was very encouraging and affirming for Cindy and me. We know that God has led us to this organization, and that God is definitely leading and guiding the work of TeachOverseas.
