Forty Years and Still Going Strong!

This weekend we enjoyed our End of the Year Retreat with the ESI Hungary and Slovakia team in the city of Esztergom. The largest basilica in Hungary is located here. The city is on the "Danube Bend" across from Sturovo in Slovakia. It's a beautiful place to relax and get rejuvenated for the remaining weeks that we have left.

On Saturday night, the whole group (15 of us) went out for supper at a local restaurant.
Here is part of the group:

When we returned to the guesthouse where we were all staying, everyone yelled "Surprise" and there was a cake with a "tűzijáték" burning in the middle of a cake surrounded by champagne and glasses and lots of smiling people. It was so much fun to be feted for our 40 years of marriage in this way. We told stories about our wedding and drank champagne with linked arms and fed each other cake...all things we did not do at our wedding!

On Sunday we concluded our time together with a time of worship with singing and having a time where all the returning teachers were prayed over by the group.
