3rd Annual 9D Pizza Party

By the numbers:
36 people
30 students, 29 boys, 1 girl
21 pizzas
5 teachers
4 guitars and 2 amplifiers
3 hours of hanging out together
1 birthday boy
1 (only) student missing
1 set of poker chips
1 hot pepper sauce contest (on small cookies)
1 hard-working pizza crust roller (Cindy)
0 pieces of pizza left

We really enjoy hosting this event that brings students into our home. What a great bunch of students this year. It is so important that these students get along well, because they are together with these same peers for the next four and a half years.

It is hard to imagine having thirty-six people crammed into our small space. Fortunately Justin's flat was accessible, providing the musicians a place to set up. This year we decided to have some pizza ready when the first students arrived, so we started baking at 2:45 for the 4:00 party. The invitation asked students to bring a snack or something to drink, but it seems that everyone brought both, so we had a lot of both left over at the end. We will put it to good use at our next English club meetings.

Put a small spoonful of hot pepper sauce on a little cookie and then survive the heat!!
